RELEASE: SUMMER 2025
Nineteen-year-old Remi Salamanca is driven by revenge after the death of her sister in a resource war with an alien species called the Thorcan, or the Sailfin if you aren’t being polite, and Remi has no patience for pleasantries. The resource: a gleaming green gem of a planet, rich in air, water, and land, nicknamed Victory by the humans. Earth is long gone and humanity seeks a new foothold, but they aren’t the only ones.
Ixsh-Vane is a loner in a society that values familial ties above all else but her family is long dead from the war, her life is only as good as the time she spends flying missions around the disputed star system. A star system that her people claimed long before the Scaleless humans arrived. Now, with guns on both sides pointed at the surface no one can safely land. After a chance encounter that leads Remi and Ixsh-Vane to crash landing on the off-limits planet, they have to learn to live together or they will die together. Any wrong move can bring the firepower of two selfish species upon their heads, poor planning will make them dinner for the local apex predator, and if they aren’t careful the elements themselves will always be ready to freeze, drown, or burn them..
Every challenge includes a win, a loss, or a lesson, and the longer they survive on the planet the more clear it becomes that Humans and Thorcans aren’t the only ones depending on the planet Victory. A third species, with a habit of building amphitheaters, are slumbering under the surface, waiting for some atmospheric trigger to wake them up. The question remains for Remi and Ixsh-Vane, do they have a right to this world? Can they survive? Can they, samples of their people, bring peace to both?
